Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler is one of the books I read over Christmas break. Anna and Matt have always been the best of friends, along with Matt's sister, Frankie, until Anna's fifteenth birthday. Anna and Matt discover their mutual attraction for each other. Afraid to break the news to Frankie, not sure how it will affect each of their relationships, they decide to keep it to themselves. Their romance is short lived. Matt suddenly dies leaving Anna to keep their secret romance a secret. Will she ever tell Frankie? How do Frankie, Anna, and Matt's family deal with this tragedy and their grief? I found this book to be an easy read and the author does a good job conveying the emotions that go along with losing a loved one. It is an Eliot Rosewater nominee and is worth taking a look at.
